Seattle

We had a great trip to Seattle this past weekend. This was our third trip during the past 4 Decembers. And on each trip I took Avery on a boat tour while Jon worked during the day. This year I didn't know how I would manage both kids on a 2 hour tour, so I decided to take them on a ferry ride over to Bainbridge Island instead. It was such a good idea! 30 minutes and a huge ship so no one had to get too annoyed at my loud children. And Avery loved that they had a snack shop!!!

We had lots of fun on the island. There was a small kids museum that kept them both busy for a while, and we walked around a bit enjoying the sunshine. Avery loved the windy deck on the way back to Seattle...

After Jon was done working, we had a nice dinner with some of his colleagues, then headed to a Christmas festival down the street from our hotel. We all took a carousel ride...

Then we listened to Christmas carollers by the big Christmas tree...

The next day we went down to the Seattle Center for winterfest. There was a huge train set that the kids both loved....

Then we all went up to the top of the Space Needle! It was so pretty on such a rare clear day in December!
