The rest of July...

Wow - that month flew by! We had a lot of fun though...

We took the kids to the fountains to splash...


And found a concert in the park on the way home that the kids just loved...

Collin is getting so big. He is ready for the big kid playgrounds now...

Speaking of growing up, I can't believe our playgroup turned 4 years old! Still 13 kids meeting every Friday! We celebrated all the kids turning 4 this summer with 1 big birthday party again, and this time we remembered to get a picture!

Although we've been super busy with all the house stuff, we took a break and headed to the beach last weekend....

The water was FREEZING as always, but it didn't phase the kids or dog!
I was so surprised that Collin wasn't scared at all of waves. He loved the beach!

We had fun looking around in the tide pools. The kids both got to pet this cute starfish...

We had a picnic while Avery warmed up...

Then she was ready to fly her kite...

I forgot the spoons for the Jello...

Collin didn't mind...

More kite flying...

At last they found some warm water in this little tide pool...

Back home, the kids have been really helpful with the packing! We also know what to get them for presents from now on...boxes!!!

4th of July

We had an awesome holiday weekend!!!

It started with a trip to Mt Hood where we stayed at a great resort and had such a fun time. The weather was perfect! 80 degrees!

We found a little playground the kids loved. Such a pretty place for a playground!


And the view from the pool was great too! We spent lots of time in the big pool with Avery and Collin both doing big jumps into the pool. And we also loved the "hot pool" as Avery calls the hot tub. That's Jon with the kids in the hot tub in the picture...

We had dinner on a patio overlooking the golf course with amazing views...

And on the way back to our room we spotted some Fourth of July flowers...

The next morning we went on a hike nearby. Avery was so excited about this bridge...

Trot had a blast running around off leash. Up until we lost him for a few minutes, which really freaked Avery out....

Collin does great in this backpack, but Jon said it's basically like carrying me around in that thing! Apparently he thinks I weigh 34 lbs - fine with me :)

This tree was amazing. As was the little tree hugger who hiked the whole trail...
Collin was not such a big fan of the hiking part...

The next day we got to watch the 4th of July parade at the end of our street. Technically, the end of the street that we are renting a house on (since our house is sold now). We had some good friends to watch with, and the kids were in heaven with all the candy thrown their way!!

After a fun day bbq-ing with friends, the 4 of us had dinner in the yard and played around on the swing set. It was such a nice weekend!
