Smile

Collin started smiling about a week ago, but I've had terrible timing with the camera. This picture is as close as I've gotten so far, but of course it was a much bigger smile about 2 seconds before the camera clicked...

Collin - 1 month

Collin is 6 weeks old already! He is sleeping a little more (occasional 4 hour stretches!), hates pacifiers and bottles, and has started to 'coo'. It's so nice to hear his voice!

Since life is obviously much busier this time around, I've realized I won't be able to take Collin to the portrait studio every month like I did with Avery to get pictures of how he grows throughout the first year. So, I'm playing the photographer myself and have stolen a couple of ideas for how to chart his growth this year (thanks Sara and Martha Stewart!). Here are the pictures for month #1...


It will be fun to see how little this Pooh Bear will look by the time Collin is 1!


Collin's wearing a 2T onsie in this picture...hopefully this one will still fit by the end of the year so we can see how he grows into it...

Avery's Dance Class

Last fall Avery took a dance class at the rec center. She LOVED it! It was adorable watching the little 2 year old's try to follow instructions. And they were so cute in their little tutu's! The last class was held on the stage in the auditorium, but it was actually when Collin and I were in the hospital after his birth, so Jon took Avery and got these pictures. They crack me up. Notice how our little miss independent is laying down when everyone else is standing.....




...and she's the one doing downward dog when everyone else is doing butterflies...


Here she has some girl behind her copying her move....

She finally gets the groove when the Tiaras and Crowns come out...

She was so proud!!!

New Collin pictures

Collin is over a month old already! It's been a very busy month with the holidays and getting used to having a baby at home again. We were so lucky to have lots of help though! My mom stayed with us while Jon was out of town at his best friend's wedding, and she stayed through new years. Here's Collin with his Gramma Connie...



Jon's sister Dianna and niece Katie also came to help out. Avery adores Katie! Here they are having a tea party...

And Katie was great with Collin too!

Dianna was such a huge help! I was so lost when all our help was gone...I had to change diapers, do laundry, cook, and clean all by myself. Boo!!!

Avery really loves being a big sister!! Here is Avery and Collin watching the last Patriot's game of the season...

This shirt is SOOOO true! He is especially the boss of our sleep schedules!

Ummmm....this onsie is sized 18 months!
