I'm a Little Teapot...

Avery has a couple of books of Nursery Rhymes...but this BIG one is her favorite. She makes me read all 300 pages every night! Luckily she doesn't seem to notice when I skip a few here and there. Her favorites are Humpty Dumpty, A Tisket a Tasket, and I'm a Little Teapot. Of course we also have a CD in my car that sings all these songs (what was I thinking buying that CD?!), so she loves to sing as she 'reads'. Here she is singing the little teapot song...

Visit from Grandma Connie...

Avery's Gramma Connie came to visit this weekend. We had so much fun!

Here they are after Grandma helped Avery get her Princess shoes on. She loves those shoes so much, that she stopped complaining about wearing the dress!

(also, check out her smile. This is the corny smile we get whenever we say "cheese". I think it's fitting!)


On the potty training front, this is the only "potty" Avery will go anywhere near lately. Too bad it's really her scooter with the seat flipped up. I swear we're going to find poop in there one day...

Weekend fun...

We had a chilly weekend, but managed to make it out for a nice hike. Avery walked most of the trip - she did great!

We also took Avery to her first women's basketball game - showing her what her future holds when she's 6'2"!! She was amazed by the band, but she liked watching the game and cheering for the Portland Pilots too! Since then, she's been working on her dribbling and her 3 point shot....
