Catching up...

It's been a while since I've posted! Here's what we've been up to...

Avery had a playdate with her best buddy from school, Natalie. They had a blast playing in her little pool in the backyard, then danced around her bedroom, then we had an awesome dinner where the girls even had their own table - followed by cupcakes (which was another celebration for Avery's birthday since Natalie couldn't make it to Avery's party).



For our 5 year anniversary, my mom and Bob came out to watch the kids and Jon and I went away to the most amazing spa resort (only 45 minutes from home!). It felt like we were a million miles away, such pretty views of Oregon wine country. Here's a picture of the hotel, with a vineyard off to the right.

We did some wine tasting while we were in Newberg. This place had great views...

We had a couple days with my mom and Bob when we got back from wine country, but I got a terrible cold the first day back....so this is the only picture I have from their visit! Avery had such a great time with them and I'm so excited we'll be heading back to visit them again soon too - she keeps asking where Gramma is...

We did make it back for our annual visit to the rose garden where we had our wedding. It was nice to get a picture of the 4 of us there, even if we never get all 4 of us to look at the camera at the same time!

We had a big swimming day last weekend....Avery had her first lesson with a teacher, and Collin had his first lesson (with Jon). I love this picture of Jon - he never smiles in pictures!

In this picture you can see Jon and Collin in the middle of the pool with the Baby & Me class, and Avery is the one on the right with the blue suit. She was a little distracted seeing Jon in the pool and not getting to swim with him, but she still did a great job swimming with her teacher too.

And as if Avery has not had enough birthday fun yet....she had ANOTHER birthday party last weekend! All 15 of her playgroup buddies are turning 3 this summer, so we had one big party and drew names for gifts. I'm starting to worry that Avery thinks she will get gifts and have cupcakes in her honor every week!

This is at the same party....her gift was this purple dress and she just HAD to put it on right then and there!!
